Need to feel well fast - wedding day this week!

I get married this week.

I feel dreadful and have woken up with sore swollen glands and sore mouth ulcers.

I'm assuming it's stress related as I've had a lot going on (non wedding related) recently and it's meant I've had nearly non stop spotting for 4 weeks and hardly any energy.

I'm dosing up with vitamin c, drinking lots of water, and having ibuprofen for the swollen glands.

Please reassure me that I can get better by the weekend?

What else can I do to help?

Poor you. Is it feasible to completely rest from now until then?

My daughter always gets a mouth full of ulcers when her iron levels are low so might be worth getting a supplement

Springmachine · 18/11/2018 11:29

Iron levels could be it as I've been trying to lose a few last minute lbs too so not really eaten too much or anything decent.
I've sent DP our for supplies so will add to the list.

I've not got a busy week coming up but I do have an 18 month old and he's having an operation tomorrow so can't rest properly until that's sorted

Multivitamins, dose up on painkillers, drink lots of water, eat well, completely rest, sleep well

Sounds like a tough time.

I would take a multi vit morning and night Continue to take painkillers. Gargle warm/hot salt water (it's horrible but will help with mouth germs).

Avoid sugar and dairy and avoid overeating.

Try and get half an hour at least walk daily in the fresh air.

Steam your face twice a day to clear nasal passages.

I hope it's a lovely wedding day and good luck with the op.
