Shouldn't need it at my age (40) but I have an app to track them and very painful ovulation- so it's good to have a rough idea when this is likely

Periods 37 days, 35 days 36 days and got it this morning so that's 27 days

I just wondered why would this be?

Could be any number of things. Possibly peri menopausal though. What age did your mother have her menopause?

Hormones? They can go a bit haywire in your 40’s

Mother had hysterectomy early so she was young (not ovaries i dont think) but I don't think I can judge it by that
