Bad dreams... Can we stop them?

Ever since DS started school in September, his good sleep routine has gone to pot. He's regularly waking in the night in tears after having bad dreams.

He's settled into school fine and there's no concerns.

Is there anything I can do to help them stop?

A dream catcher worked for a fair while with my DD and also worry dolls I think helped a bit at one point.

Dreams are all about the subconscious processing what’s happened that day. If you can get DS to ‘download’ before he sleeps, it may help him (and you!). Anything nice and calming before bed may help too. Happy stories, giggles, whatever works for him.

Some days it's easy getting out of him what he's done at school and what he's eaten etc... Other days I'd get more conversation from a rock...
