Pressie Buying For DD9

Not sure if this should be in relationships but here goes. DH & I haven’t argued but he started to get a bit “miffed” & I was starting to feel the need to defend myself. Basically he was a bit upset because I have bought a few pressies for DD’s Birthday & Christmas & he hasn’t been involved. We did argue about similar 2 years ago but my God, I am so glad he’s grown up A LOT since then & it didn’t end up in a monumental row over a bloody singing reindeer from Avon! We were barely speaking on DD’s Birthday that year 😞Anyway, fast forward to now. I can see his point actually & he did say it’s part of the magic of Christmas to choose things for her together. I explained that if I see bits through the year, I pick them up. Obviously I can’t run every little thing past him. I certainly wouldn’t get her big presents without his input. He said he wouldn’t dream of getting her anything without telling me. Just wondering what happens in your house?

I don't think my DH has ever bought a present for the dcs. Present buying is definitely solely my responsibility.

Same as *Neolara.
I work PT, he works FT, so I tend to do the Christmas shopping.

Exactly as backforgood
I also get his presents for secretaries etc at work and got them for his parents when they were alive

Same as previous posters. I buy all my DD's presents. However, we do agree on her big main presents but I buy them because we're either at work or she's with us!
