Places to go for thanksgiving in NYC

We fly on Tuesday and I can't find any threads on here that aren't on chat so are still around!

We already have some things sorted. Will be getting tickets for any show we can at one of those ticket stalls ( not thanksgiving) but will everywhere be closed?

Any must eat at places in New York? Im beyond excited for this 😂

We weren't in NYC but everywhere closed Thanksgiving afternoon by us, only places left to eat at were Denny's, and Applebees and I think Chilis. I'm sure the hotel concierge will be able to help.
Posh restaurants need booking in advance.

I have been to NYC on Thanksgiving. All the museums, shops and most of the restaurants will be closed. You will be able to find something to eat, but choice will be limited and if you want a nice restaurant meal you would need to do some research and book ahead (imagine what it would be like in London on Christmas Day).
There is the traditional Thanksgiving Day Parade around midtown, but if you don't fancy that, it's a good day for a walk in Central Park or a ride on the Staten Island Ferry (check it runs, but I think it does)
