Chilli and chips. Nearly ready, thank goodness.

Ursaminor · 17/11/2018 19:26

Scampi and chips - bung it in the oven. We're busy delivering kids all over the place. Watching Strictly later on catch up.

I've made Nigel Slater's mushroom lasagne from the kitchen diaries - first time and the last time as it was a faff! It better be delicious

Grumpbum123 · 17/11/2018 19:27

We were going to have the £10 M&S curry deal but having a bacon sandwich instead

Greensleeves · 17/11/2018 19:28

Your stuffed mushrooms sound lovely OP Smile

Our fussy teens are out, so dh and I are having a sneaky bastard hot chilli with rice and oodles of cheese...yum

Abstruse · 17/11/2018 19:30

Spicy veggie hot pot served with cheesy mash - 'twas delicious!

Cleanermaidcook · 17/11/2018 19:34

Sunday roast (chicken dinner) on a Saturday coz dh is working away from tomorrow so thought I'd do it today. 😊

BentNeckLady · 17/11/2018 19:37

Beef stew, dumplings, mash and cabbage + a mince pie. It was heavenly.

WishfulSprouts · 17/11/2018 19:39

I’m in the middle of putting kids to bed then sorting out house and doing homework so frozen pizza and a beer for me tonight sadly nothing adventurous (or nutritious!)

PeonyTruffle · 17/11/2018 19:40

Crusty baguette with loads of butter, prawns and seafood sauce.

We're all poorly and that's all I fancied!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 17/11/2018 19:42

I made this-absolutely gorgeous and some left for pack lunches on monday (doubled recipe)

Oldtiger · 17/11/2018 19:45

Peony very similar! Chilli garlic and butter king prawns with crusty baguette and salad with profiteroles pudding. Mmmmmm, can’t wait for kids bedtime in a few mins!

SilentBob · 17/11/2018 20:02

Wine. I'm having wine.

And not in a Mumsnet "I'm hilarious, I'll say I'm having wine" way.

I'm genuinely having wine.

midsomermurderess · 17/11/2018 20:06

Not really but I do quite like it: Longley Farm cottage cheese, chickpea Salad, tomatoes and Kr Karg cheese and pumpkin crisp bread

flugelhorn81 · 17/11/2018 20:36

We've just had some delicious beef and a celeriac gratin I saw on the Ocado website. Don't think we can get away with another roast tomorrow!

Didsomeonesaybunny · 17/11/2018 20:56

We’ve got a Wagamama’s en route - firecracker chicken for me and chicken donburi for my OH and some beers.

SpamChaudFroid · 17/11/2018 21:06

Hot dog with fries and a slab of chocolate nougat. Regretting that I only bought one bar of nougat....

However I do have some chocolate covered figs lined up for later, yay!

MisstoMrs · 18/11/2018 06:47

@thenewaveragebear1983 were the welly boots any good? Bought the beef ones with an eye to having over Christmas some time but want to be sure they’re ok first. The lamb ones looked amazing but DH isn’t a fan ☹️

Eponymous · 18/11/2018 08:28

Brisket. Roasted for 7 hours. I'll be eating it for the rest of the week.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 18/11/2018 08:56

MisstoMrs they were okay. They tasted lovely but were very small and not a huge amount of lamb in them. I don’t think I’d buy them again.

MisstoMrs · 18/11/2018 09:54

@thenewaveragebear1983 oh no! That’s a real shame. I was planning to serve them with dauphinois potatoes and lots of green veg. Do you think that would be ok? ☹️

thenewaveragebear1983 · 18/11/2018 12:07

The Lidl dauphinois things are delicious! Ours probably wasn’t helped by our accompanying waffles (as we had no roasties left!). They were nice, but there just wasn’t much lamb in them.

MisstoMrs · 18/11/2018 13:29

@thenewaveragebear1983 thank you for letttong me know. I will make sure there’s plenty of extras with it for my lot 😊 Much appreciated.

DH , Ds2 and I are having a mushroom risotto
Others have eaten at a party
Fancy something soothing to cook and comforting to eat
