I acted like a total dick last night and I'm so embarrassed

Went out last night and got absolutely hammered. Not on purpose, just was trying to keep up with everyone else.

My friend told me this morning I was absolutely horrible to one of the other women there and she had to tell me to stop. Apparently everyone was looking at me in shock. I feel so bad and embarrassed and ashamed.

Apparently I apologised to the woman and we all carried on happily but still I can't stop thinking about it.

what exactly did you say to her? I think you need to phone her and discuss it

formerbabe · 17/11/2018 17:40

Oh no....do you have her number so you can send her an apologetic message?

MadeForThis · 17/11/2018 17:41

Don't over think it. It's happened. I would contact her again to apologise.

Everyone has acted like a dick after a few drinks.

Just remember what you did and make sure that it never happens again.

All you can do.is apologise is she a good friend of yours? Do you normally get on with her?

quackquackducky · 17/11/2018 17:43

I've never even met her before! And I have no idea what I said, neither did my friend :( she just remembered me being horrid and telling me to stop. It's just so out of character for me. Will definitely message and apologise again

You do know you don't have to keep up with everyone when out drinking, don't you? You can miss out drinks, drink slower or order non alcoholic drinks when you start to feel you getting drunk too quickly. Your friends would respect you more for doing that than getting hammered, being a dick, shocking them and embarrassing them and yourself.

Apologise again to the woman you were horrible to and the friends who were embarrassed and shocked by your behaviour, don't feel too sorry for yourself feel sorry for the others forced to witness it.
