PUPPIES. What do you most like about them ?

IndigoSpritz · 16/11/2018 18:23

Any of these:

The squeaky noises they make before they can bark.

General chubbiness.

Their 'safety (and cosiness) in numbers' philosophy.

Puppy smell.

Tiny ears like scraps of velvet.

Sharp little teeth that puncture your fingers.

Pink bellies.

Or, whatever you fancy.

EVERYTHING 😍

twoheaped · 16/11/2018 18:29

The smell.
We went to choose a puppy last week, she had that special puppy odour.

Rockbird · 16/11/2018 18:35

Their enthusiasm for EVERYTHING and the way they greet you when you walk in the door.

Mine will be a dog soon (she's nearly 1yr old). She's a little git. The naughtiest dog I've ever met (except at puppy training, where she's the model pupil).
I could kill her half the time.

She has no conscience; no remorse. And a huge determination to do anything and everything she's not allowed to do.

Fortunately for her, she's also very cute.

Bonez · 16/11/2018 19:16

Weirdly, I love the smell of puppy breath. Almost reminds me of coffee 🤨 gives me nostalgic feelings as well.

EnidButton · 16/11/2018 19:28

Warm milky type smell.

Super soft ears.

Tiny shiny black noses. Little black beans on the bottom of paws that are still a bit too big.

Enthusiasm.

Yipping instead of barking.

Snuffley noises when sleeping.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 16/11/2018 19:29

Their little yelps and smiles. They're so innocent and trusting aren't they.
All they want is to be loved, isn't it.
And barrel bodies and their paws and tails, Oh infact everything.
They're beyond delicious. I could squeeeeeeeeeeze and eat them.

saganorenscarandcoat · 16/11/2018 19:29

Their oversized ears, paws and tummies Grin

adaline · 16/11/2018 19:31

Puppy smell
The fact that their ears and paws are too big for them
Puppy kisses
Puppy cuddles
The huge amount of love they have for you
Being able to get out of doing things because the puppy is on you

Thisnamechanger · 16/11/2018 19:35

Oh so many! Super soft fur...sudden naps...wobbley walks...little fat legs...chews and licks....aghhh puppies are the best Grin

glenthebattleostrich · 16/11/2018 19:41

The little squeaky noises, the snuggles, the desperation for cuddles.

Mine hurt her leg this week and had to be in hospital for 2 nights / 3 days. I missed her and her mischievousness so much!

EnidButton · 16/11/2018 19:45

Nap flops. When they're completely on a mission to conquer the dining room then suddenly flop to the floor and go to sleep.

IndigoSpritz · 16/11/2018 19:45

It looks like puppies are popular then.

When our Cocker Spaniels had their youngsters decades ago, it was difficult to open the kitchen door first thing in the morning without getting flattened by lots of small paws and claws as they made their bid for freedom.

and did I mention, she ate my favourite flip flop yesterday.

Doghorsechicken · 16/11/2018 20:52

Their chubby milk bellies

Gorgeous puppy smell

Soft ears

Little eggy heads

Soft little paws

I could go on and on!

naicepineapple · 16/11/2018 20:55

Their lovely little ears

DeadCertain · 17/11/2018 07:31

Everything but especially (on baby RRs as that is the breed I have now) the tops of their heads like velvet, huge ears too big for their heads, huge paws, rolls of loose skin ready for that rapid growth, long legs that they can't yet coordinate very well........

beeefcake · 17/11/2018 07:32

What's not to love????

QueenofLouisiana · 17/11/2018 07:48

Paws! That point when large breed puppies have paws that are just too big for the rest of the puppy. We had boxers when I was growing up, I loved those puppy paws.

Ears, noses, puppies dreaming are also good.

longwayoff · 17/11/2018 10:12

Everything including their turnip puppy breath.

Brigante9 · 17/11/2018 10:42

The way they just collapse and sleep like the dead (weirdly, not the current ones, they needed to be locked up to rest!) and puppy bellies that need snuffling.

Terribletrampolinist · 17/11/2018 10:47

Tummies-definitely the tummies
The way they bound 2 paws at a time

Santaispolishinghissleigh · 17/11/2018 10:52

My 2.......
Unfortunately they grew and are now 5!!

PUPPIES. What do you most like about them ?
ForalltheSaints · 17/11/2018 10:54

Other people's puppies well looked after, and old enough to travel with their owners on the train or tube can be a delight, and something that brings people together.

No dogs in the house for me, given that our lifestyle is such that they could not have the time they need.

longwayoff · 17/11/2018 11:09

Ohhh, there is nothing so happy as a happy dog. All you have to do is appear for untramelled joy to be released. Ahh, dogsSmile
