I'm buying this as a gift for someone. Are there any must have accessories that I should get to go with it?

I concur with BabyShark. Lightbulbs and smart plugs are not essential but they are good to have. You can buy the whole kit as an option on the website. I just bought the Echo Dot with plug for only 34.99 pounds.

Can I ask the difference between the dot and the echo

@Oorwulliesbucket it’s mainly the quality of the speaker, the echo is a bit better. Although I don’t know if they’ve improved the Dot with the 3rd Gen new one. The Echo doesn’t ‘do’ anything the Dot doesn’t.
