Is there such a thing as nice blackout lining for curtains?

The stuff I’ve had before is really plasticky and noisy.

Any wise ideas?

Just go along to a fabric shop which sells curtain material. There are many types of blockout fabric, right up to 100% light reduction. They are like normal fabric - they shouldn't be noisy. Good luck !

Thermal linings also block light and are less stiff.
