Are both machines wi-fi enabled and connected to the same router/hub ? If so Windows should be able to guide you through it. Just type "file sharing" into Help.

If not, you need to get to that state ...

One is on WiFi the other on ether et. Does that make a difference?

It depends ... the key is do the join in a router/hub somewhere ?

Is the ethernet machine plugged into the same box that is providing the WiFi ? If "yes" then as suggested, Windows should be able to guide you through connecting two machines to share files.

If they don't share a common router/hub, then you need to make it so they do ...

How about using Dropbox?

seekingclarity · 16/11/2018 17:57

We have been using the one drive by Microsoft but thought that networking might be easier.
