Anyone else planning to read this? I'm really excited.

Surely I can't be the only person who has just received their copy!

It’s on Radio 4 every day next week Read by Michelle Obama at 09.45

I started it today and am really enjoying it.
Having only read part one so far, I have been most interested by her description of the way that she was parented and the impact that this had on her early success. Definitely something to bear in mind if I am lucky enough to have children myself.

I’m interested in reading it once it’s out. Hoping I might be able to get it from the library

Downloaded it today on Kindle. I've just finished the 1st chapter, where she performs a piano recital.

She uses the comparison between the baby grand she performs on and the old, beaten up piano she learns on to illustrate the 'disparities' of the world. Thought that was a lovely metaphor.

Think it's going to be a fantastic read!

I've downloaded it on Audible - looking forward to listening to it once I've finished my current Audible book.

I'm going to read it and thanks to whoever said it read every day on Radio 4, I'll catch up with that. I have much admiration for Michelle Obama.

I am 75 pages in! She writes really well. Very readable.

ive read it, i liked her before but love her even more

I'm also really interested about the descriptions of her parents and their parenting. I find it really interesting when she talks about how her parents job was to make them 'independent' . I'm worried at my kids lack of personal independence tbh.

I’ve downloaded all five episodes on iplayer radio. Realistically I wasn’t going to get round to reading it.
