I've had an email where the sender’s name is the name of someone I know, but the message turned out to be spam.
This particular name is quite distinctive – think something like “Jessikah Hyde”, where the first name is spelled in an unusual way. I don’t have the real “Jessikah’s” email address and she doesn’t have mine, so it can’t be that my or her email account has been hacked.
Our only online connection is Facebook. So I’ve changed my FB password, and told “Jessikah” about the email so she can change her password too.
Have FB accounts been hacked recently? Has anyone else had something similar? And is there a way I can discuss this exact issue with FB, instead of just reporting a general problem and changing my password?
