Baking cakes, not got sugar...

Is it possible to make a last minute contribution to ds’s bake sale without having to go back to the shops? I’ve got eggs, flour, syrup (can that be substituted?), bananas. No oats or I’d do flapjacks, and only shredded and weetabix so cornflake cakes are out too. I’ll have to go shopping, won’t I?

I'm sure you'll be able to make some sort of banana muffins?

We used to make shredded wheat. Cakes! Like cornflake caked but crushed up shredded wheat. We generally did them at Easter and shaped like nests with mini eggs in the middle, but I'm sure you could think of a festive decoration!
