Italian/Spanish hot chocolate??

Really craving a hot chocolate I had a tin of about 6 years ago (no longer have tin). I can't remember if it was Spanish or Italian hot chocolate but it was practically black (visually) and very thick, you could eat it with a spoon if you wanted. If anyone can point me in the direction of a similar hot chocolate that's sold in the U.K., I'd be most grateful Smile

Spanish. Served with churros for dipping. More like a chocolate sauce than a drink.

Delicious. And I'm not usually a hot chocolate drinking fan.

I used to love this stuff. Drank it every day for months. Then just suddenly went off it. Shame, its really thick hot chocolate but think I drank too much of it.

The hot chocolate you describe is also what you get in cafes in Italy, so you could both be correct. More like a chocolate pudding than a drink, and easier to drink with a spoon. I don't know a brand, although i did have a similar one in carluccio's a couple of years ago, which was a pleasant surprise!
