Questions about renting

NC as I'm disgusted with myself for getting into this position.

I need to leave , it's not my house so I have no problem going but I've never rented privately before .

I don't have a lump sum for a deposit (around £1000 in the area I'm looking at )

My credit rating is shocking so I wouldn't pass the credit checks and don't know anyone who would sign for me ,

I earn £2k a month and rentals that would suit are £500. -£600 so monthly I don't think I'd struggle.

Social housing isn't a option as I need to go sooner rather than later and I wouldn't be a priority.

Any advice ?

I'm in quite a few local housy groups in fb, maybe ask if there are any private landlords in your local one? Then speak to them from there. I've seen it been done quite a lot for the same reason.

Ask your council housing department if they know of any schemes which pay the upfront costs and act as guarantor.
