Dd3 (12) was admitted on Monday and diagnosed with Pneumonia. She was and still is requiring a fair amount of oxygen to help with her breathing. Started on a course of IV antib's on Monday but after an awful night last night turns out the antib's weren't working and infection has now spread to her other lung. Cue higher doses of oxygen- stronger antibiotics and Subutamol and saline nebulizers. She has been so poorly that she has had physio, xray and ECG all to her bedside.
Today is our second night here.
How long did you/your child have to stay in and how long was the recovery afterwards?
I know everyone is different but just wanted to know what to expect going forward from here.
