Have you tried a new recipe lately?

Looking for inspiration here!

What was it?

Did you enjoy it?

Did the family enjoy it?

I recently made roast pork tenderloin (never used that cut before) with pan fried savoy cabbage and leeks and garlic finished with a bit of cream. (We also had roast potatoes). Everyone really enjoyed it but a whole tenderloin really only feeds 3 people at a guess.

That pork recipe sounds lovely.

I made this the other day and it was a big hit in this house, so easy quick and cheap but tasty:

fish tacos

Absolutely delicious! Made them again for the kids and used salmon cut in strips, flour/egg/breadcrumb and left the chilli out of the salsa and soured cream. Absolutely devoured!

Just about to ice a gluten-free vegan Christmas cake. It looks lovely now, but honest to God, it was the fiddliest, faffiest most annoying item of baking ever. All soaking little bits of things in other things for slightly different lengths of time.

Disfordarkchocolate · 14/11/2018 20:12

This was lovely, I make it with salmon then with and chicken thighs and it was lovely both times

And I make this with chocolate chunks instead of raspberries, it went down very well and was even better the next day

Pork tenderloin last night. Made a marinade of balsamic, mustard, herbs, oil and maple syrup. Marinade for as long as you can, seal in a pan and put in the oven loosely covered.

Delicious and couldn’t be easier. Had it with mash and peas.

This Waitrose recipe with butternut squash, Cavolo Nero (excuse caps 😒) and halloumi. Dunno if the DC would have liked it but we thought it was delicious!

Tried Sri Lankan coconut lentil curry. My friend make it, soo amazing. I've tried to replicate it but not quite cracked it.

This is cheap easy and is loved by us all, 3yo and 19mnth included. We have had it with roast potatoes before or potato cakes.

Husband made the second recipe and said it was fantastic.

I made this a few days ago. Really simple but it tasted great and even my very fussy DH loved it.

I didn’t have a lot of chicken so I shredded it at the end and mixed it back in and it seemed so much more and everyone was well fed.

We all loved this. 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler. So easy! I put some cream through the toddler portion as it was just a wee bit spicy for her palette 👍

OvO · 14/11/2018 20:43

I’ve made that, Aaarrrggghh. I love it. I’m a big fan of chicken and chorizo as my link has both too!

I did chicken Marbella the other day from Ottolenghi new book, simple

rockingthelook · 14/11/2018 20:58

Been doing a lot of recipes from the Pru Leith Baking book, every single one has been good and turns out well....unlike others , yes, you , Nigella :(

I put a couple of hash browns and a pile of melthled brie on a burger tonight and it was divine.

Found a lovely new meal....

Fry up onions and peppers and Ikea meatballs. Then make a sauce with flour and butter but instead of milk use beef stock. Then add some sour cream. Pour over meatballs and simmer for 15 minutes.

It's my new favourite thing!

shouldidoitspoilt · 15/11/2018 12:56

@rockingthelook have you got her bread book?
It's fabulous
