I've bought the above dishwasher tablets. They have a plastic wrapper around the actual tablet. The instructions say to remove wrapper, but the plastic bit can only be cut off with difficulty with scissors and then the tablet inside kind of falls apart as you wrestle with the wrapper, and it all feels really sticky.

Has anyone else had these tablets? What am I doing wrong?

The shrink wrap type plastic should dissolve in water. Just put one through. Worst that happens is you have to fish it put and dishes don't get washed.

Thanks Incoming. They are actually my mother's tablets, not mine, and she didn't want to chance putting them straight in the machine in case it "clogs up the works" , but now that you've suggested doing exactly what I told her she's happy to try it.
