I have an interview at 5pm today, any advice??

First interview in about 5 years. Feel like I’m prepped but feeling incredibly nervous.

Any advice?!

Look them in the eye, firm handshake, and breatheeee!

Deep breaths and a Big smile when you enter the room

Watch some interviews on YouTube to get you into the right mindset.
I found that really useful when I was in a similar situation.

You’re in it now so I’m too late to pass on any hints and tips (not that I’m the world’s expert, anyway!), but good luck!

Oh no! That's really frustrating 😕

It went ok... I think. My first in a very long time too so feels good to have the first one under my belt

It was competency based and I took some notes in which helped settle the nerves. I don't refer to them too much but was good to have them with me.

I have another on Friday co-incidentally (different company) so will check in after that and see how you got on!

When is your next interview?

I didn’t get the role that I interviewed for on Wednesday, but I don’t mind too much as the salary was shocking (would have been a 30% cut 😮)

I won’t find out about Friday’s interview for a couple of weeks, but I suspect they’re looking for a slightly different skill set. They were very friendly though.

I’m just pleased to have done a couple of interviews; I was really quite nervous at the beginning of the week and feel much better having done them... and having some areas I know I need to think about/rehearse some more.
