Does anyone have any recommendations or horror stories who to avoid? Smile

We leased through Lings Cars for a while but now do it through Mercedes direct, the showroom beat any other deal we could find and threw in the servicing, its worth getting your figures together and going to them direct.

Go on contracthireandleasing website for best comparisons

I have leased 9 out of my last 10 cars
I always work out what the depreciation would be from new after 3 years vs what the cost of a 3 year lease would be and do whichever is best

Thanks guys. Circumstances dictate leading situation so just wanted some recommendations Smile

We leased a car through Lings Cars which was a great service, but then the actual lease contract was with Ford. We were stung for a huge amount of money when we gave it back, and for that reason would never lease again. Would prefer to buy a car on finance so you actually own the car and don’t have to worry about it being in perfect condition to return it.

@Gobbolino7825 have just Found the exact same lease with the manufacturers so that might make more sense, thank you l.

I used eurolease. They were good.

Yes, cheaper than depreciation as I change my car every three or four years. In fact I sold two cars to the garage and banked the proceeds recently and leased one for 45 months, cheapest at the main dealer IME.

costacoffeecup · 16/11/2018 17:34

We leased one through Lings, I forgot about her til I read this thread! I thought my partner was honkers but they were very good actually.

costacoffeecup · 16/11/2018 17:34

Well bonkers. Or honkers. Whatever.

Gobbolino7825 · 17/11/2018 09:34

@KeepCalm just to be clear, it was the manufacturer not Lings cars who screwed us for a load of money at the end of the lease... some people love leasing cars but personally I never would do it again for that reason.

I’m currently six months into leasing through Leasing Options. I shopped around a bit and they did the best deal for me and their reviews are good. I’m hoping I don’t get stung at the end of the leasing period but some suppliers seem more notorious for this than others.

I used to lease through Nissan directly - Nissan were fine but RCI Financial services were the biggest shower of shit I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.

I now lease directly through Seat, not sure I got a particularly good deal, but I totally love my car 💕
