Who has opened the Christmas Heroes tub?

Ok, so tub of Heroes has been sitting in the porch for a few days until I got round to hiding it. Once I start I can't stop and I would end up buying about 3 tubs before Xmas. Picked it up today and immediately thought that it felt very light. Opened it up ( can't tell whether plastic tab was already broken) to discover that out of all the sweets in there is on,y one fudge and one eclair. Surely that can't be right?
Dc are absolutely denying knowing anything about it ( sometimes I find biscuit wrappers behind the toilet but cannot find any such evidence today)
Would any kind soul who may just have opened a tub tell me how many fudges and eclairs are in there?

I'm not going to let this lie. Fudges are my favourite and it definitely wasn't me ( or DH who doesn't like chocolate).

Weigh the chocolates out of the tub and that should tell you if any have been eaten.

OddestSock · 14/11/2018 08:13

We’ve got through 2 already 🙄

CottonSock · 14/11/2018 08:15

That box should have been destined for my house.. always leave fudge and eclairs

Winterfellismyhome · 14/11/2018 08:16

You can have our fudge and éclairs if you want.. They're always left in this house

Grandadwasthatyou · 14/11/2018 09:26

Well it says 660g net and 675g including wraps ( does that mean including the tub as well?).

And they actually weigh 575g including the tub!

Right I'm on a mission now to find any hidden wrappers. Under and behind beds usual places. They both looked at me with complete innocence when I interrogated them. "Whaaat it wasn't me. I don't even like fudges and eclairs."

That's funny. You ate them all first last year.

‘‘Twas me. I thought they were Halloween Heroes leftover not Xmas ones.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 14/11/2018 09:55

That is exactly why I haven't bought any yet. Will suck up full price if necessary to avoid the 2 tubs for £7 of which none would be left by December 1st, let alone Christmas!

Will have to buy a tub for the refillable advent calendar though. I do get to eat the leftovers from that but with two kids now, there won't be many (might get 2 tubs just in case Grin)

PurpleCrazyHorse · 14/11/2018 09:55

Is it an outside porch? Does the post man think you're generously offering Christmas chocolates?

BarbaraofSevillle · 14/11/2018 10:08

Someone has eaten loads. The weight will be 660 g of chocs, 15 g of wraps, plus the weight of the tub on top. You're down 100 g plus the weight of the tub.

ForTheLoveOfDoughnuts · 14/11/2018 10:25

@Grandadwasthatyou you'll have to buy a new tub, weigh that one and compare your results

Grandadwasthatyou · 14/11/2018 10:43

Aha! First clue. Pulled out the table in the porch on which said chocolates were standing to discover this.
Now going upstairs to search 12 yr old ds's bedroom. He's more likely to be the culprit than 15 yr old dd. It's the lies I can't stand.

Who has opened the Christmas Heroes tub?

😂😂

Grandadwasthatyou · 14/11/2018 18:07

Well we have a confession. Told my ds I had definitive proof it was him which I didn't really, only the discarded wrapper which could have been either of them.
And he coughed. I asked where he had put the wrappers and he said in the outside bin where I wouldn't see them.
I'm so annoyed that he lied but suppose I do that when Dh asks who has had the last ice cold coke in the fridge and I blame the dc!

Opheliasgoldenwine · 14/11/2018 18:57

Did he eat the whole tub alone??😂

Grandadwasthatyou · 14/11/2018 19:25

No just the fudges and eclairs. My favourites!

BarbaraofSevillle · 14/11/2018 19:33

Buy yourself bags of fudge and eclairs and hide them enjoy to yourself and leave the other sweets to everyone else.

Grandadwasthatyou · 14/11/2018 19:44

Barbara... I always have a secret stash of goodies. That's what the gap underneath the sideboard is for!

When my cousin's two children were small, she'd bought a big tub of of Wine Gums for her brother in law's Christmas present. She put them in the top of the built in wardrobe in her bedroom.
When she was wrapping presents, she got the tub down and realised it had been opened. There were four people in the house. Her, her husband, her eight year old daughter, and her three year old son.
She discounted herself and her husband, and the eight year old, which only left the little one. She couldn't work out how on earth he'd got to them, him being so small, and the shelf being so high.
However, when questioned, he coughed straight away. He'd used the shelves as a ladder. But then he said "l promise l didn't eat any, mammy, l only sucked them and put them back!"
They went straight in the bin.

Harrykanesrightsock · 14/11/2018 19:58

DH bought a tub to be helpful for Christmas. He has ate it over the last two days. I have a stash of Christmas chocolate every year that he knows nothing about. If he knew it was there it would be gone.

EnidButton · 14/11/2018 20:13

Someone with no taste buds. (Cadbury's are dead to me since they were taken over and they ruined chocolate.)

willstarttomorrow · 14/11/2018 20:52

I do not buy these tubs early for this very reason. However I can confirm, for everyone's wellbeing, that this weekend DD and I tested Lidl's marzipan bars and luxury coconut ice. This was only done as a quality control exercise prior to sharing with wider family and friends. Tests are inconclusive and will be ongoingGrin

Babyroobs · 14/11/2018 20:57

We've eaten a tub of Heroes ( when they were 2 for £7 at Tesco's) and 3 selection boxes. We still have the celebrations.
