I've fallen into a nest of MLM mums...

So I've recently become self employed. Legit business using skills I already had for my last role, real work and everything starting something that's doing very well in one area in another area etc.
I joined a group of working mums in the area to try and promote it/ support with self employment.
Only it's not what I thought...
Forever living
Younique
Unborne books
Melty waxes that are going to change my life.
Face cream used to keep Patrick stewart looking so young.

They're all doing amazingly well and can't believe how much their lives have changed and do I want to maybe do a little on the side with them I can do it as much or as little as I want. Oh and do I want any books/candles/miracle face cream.
😣

Just step out of the group - you know you won't get anything positive out of it.

I keep in touch via SM with 3 old colleagues who had babies within a few months of me. ALL of them have signed up to some kind of MLM scheme within 2 or 3 months of returning to work.

Those companies definitely know who they’re targeting when they’re looking for new “consultants”.

Run away! Run while you still can.

Get AWAY

Although I do like a wax melt. Not scentsy though.

I've left the group but I'm getting messaged now. 'I know how hard it is to get yourself set up when you start your own business, why don't you come join my team and do this one day a week? Itll keep you on top while you set yours up!'

It's so disgusting how they target these! I nearly fell into one when I was 18 and needed money for uni. My dad had to sit down and explain what MLM was. They're all new mums desperate to not have to go back to work and leave their babies and they're being exploited for it.

I feel like being a mum and being self employed I'm going to have to work to dodge the mummy business look 😅
