The most serious and important conundrum.

Im in bed and cold. A hot water bottle would warm me up a treat. However in order to get the hot water bottle to get warm I would need to leave the cold but warming up bed Im currently in, loiter round a cold kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil.

I suppose if I wait long enough I will need a wee which will force me out of bed and therefore seem worth doing the hot water bottle.

Oh for an electric blanket.

If you wee in the bed it would warm it up.

I considered whatsapping dh to see if he would at least flick the kettle on to boil but he is mid movie.

Wear your duvet to the kitchen. Buy an electric blanket immediately!

Run downstairs, turn on the kettle, run upstairs, go to the loo, run back downstairs, fill the hot water bottle, run back upstairs, get into bed with the hot water bottle. Then complain that you're too hot from all the running up and down the stairs.

This is why I have an electric blanket!

Utterly whats even more disgraceful is that the kitchen is next door to my bedroom. It couldnt be closer really. Am a wimp. A cold hating wimp.

Leave bed (ensure feet are socked) put duvet cover over bed so warmed up bed warmest doesn’t escape.
Go to kitchen.
Put on kettle
Do wee (in toilet not kitchen) whilst kettle boils
Fill water bottle (with recently boiled water not wee)
Back to bed

It's November, you should have made a hot water bottle before you went to bed.
If you do get up though, have a hot drink as well to make you warmer.

Get a cat. Then your hot water bottle comes to you, stays hot all night and is covered in fur.

Or hit the menopause, and you can all come outside with me to cool down

Done. And it wasnt all bad, found one of these left in the box.

I know i usually make one and bring it with me but I totally forgot this evening. We have two cats but ive lost them to the log burner and dhs lap.

I can tell it’s cold because my 3 furry hot water bottles jockey for position. Although ds8 gets the best deal because they sleep on his bed all day.
