Should I go to M&S or Lidl for my groceries?

I have the choice of two supermarkets. More for a top up shop than a big weekly shop. I don't have loads of money or anything but I do think if you buy nice stuff you actually want to eat it's less likely to be wasted. Have M&S got any nice bits in at the moment? I need inspiration. I spent too much time wandering around supermarkets umming and aaahing and not buying anything useful.

Depends if you want ingredients or sling in the oven meals.
I was in m and s on Saturday and spent most of the time wandering around thinking that’s half the price in Lidl.
That said I bought their ribs for dh and the kids. Apparently they were lovely
(£6 in m and s £3 in Lidl, chips £2 m and s 59p in Lidl). Not sure if it was doubley nice though.

Depends what you want and what your budget is. M&S fruit is much better than any other supermarket in my experience.

Well I would (and do) go to M&S where the quality and range is good.

I have just done a shop this morning and bought amongst other things, 2 of their dine with wine things - I got pulled pork and a teriyaki beef dish plus rosti potatoes and broccoli. I love their fruit and don't buy it from anywhere else. I buy their puddings, today cheesecakes and toffee sponge puddings - for my 16 year old who I am trying to fatten up.

My son at Uni bought fruit from Lidl (or Aldi, not sure which) and he said it went off almost immediately.

Well I always go to M&S thinking I want sling in the oven meals, then when I see the Chinese takeaway meals for £4 I think I could get an actual Chinese takeaway for not much more than that, and then don't buy them.

I'm doing shopping all wrong aren't I? If I go I'll just end up with a lemon drizzle and cheese and onion crispbakes as usual.
