No Instagram or Facebook until the New Year - anyone with me?

I have deactivated my accounts and deleted the apps from my phone so all the information is kept but not easily accessible!

Who's with me? I feel this ties in with the recent threads on waste and consumerism.

I did this a month or more ago and it feels great! To start with I kept swiping across my phone screen to click the app and it wasn’t there 😆. I’m too lazy to fully log in just to see mindless crap, so it’s worked a treat.

Yes! I was the same for a few days where I would click off here and straight to find Instagram or Facebook, but it's not there and the urge soon goes away.

It nice to not be constantly advertised to.

I can get on board with that. Instagram went months ago. Facebook I kept as I was hosting a surprise party so needed it to keep people up to date. But no reason to keep it around now? December is nightmare of Facebook for Christmas Tat and what not.

Those wouldn't be a problem for me... MN on the other hand- I waste far too much time on here.

At least MN isn't a load of pictures and adverts etc. I think we can allow it!
