Odd marks on my child. What is this?

I was putting my four year old in the bath on Sunday evening when I noticed red, rash-like marks across both her shoulder blades. As she lay in the bath the red got lighter but the centre of the rash (symmetrically located in the centre of her shoulder blades) came up like raised white bites. By Monday morning the red had gone completely but where the bite-like marks had been there is now a small mark (about the size of a ten pence) which looks like a friction burn or graze.

What is this? It's so weird. It's in the centre of each shoulder blade and she says it doesn't itch or hurt, even upon applying pressure.

Any ideas?

Carpet burns from rolling round the floor seem most likely !

It's just odd that they started off looking just like bites.

Most likely chicken pox

If I drag DS around on the carpet, he gets similar things. As does my unshaven face against his skin

She's had chicken pox. Yes, maybe it is just friction, thanks everyone.
