Name the song?

A couple of years ago I used a music video as part of a lesson about writing. I think it was about letters.

I can't for the life of me remember the title of the song or either of the singers and it's driving me MAD!

In the video a white man, with floppy longish dark hair was playing a piano and singing. He wearing all white, and was in a white loft style space. In between the singing a black man was rapping.

I'm sure they were two very famous men, but I can't remember much else.

Any ideas, anyone?
