Girlguiding

Hi, just wanted to know if anyone's DD has been to the girlguiding festival Wellies and Wristbands? My DD is going next summer and just wanted to know thoughts on it. Sure it will be great but was never a guide and I'm not that outdoorsy.

As a leader it was stressful - they messed up our camp clothing order multiple times and then we were told that the girls wouldn't get their tshirts or hoodies at all during the festival. There was also a major issue over lack of food for the vegetarians. However, these issues weren't present for all groups - the food thing was mainly because we were given different times for eating but certain groups went at the wrong time and no-one checked their wristband to see what time they should have been there. I appreciate that it is a huge event and things do go wrong, but checking wristbands and filing/labelling clothing orders properly should still happen.

The Guides all enjoyed the activities though, and we did manage to eventually sort out the issues.
