I’ll miss playing Spot Stan! What a wonderful, clever guy who continues to bring so many people joy.

My stepdad used to say Xmen cartoon was for boys

Does anyone remember the TV show where people created their own superhero and Stan set them quests every week, eliminating them one by one? The winner for their own comic book. I think it was called Who Wants To Be A Superhero. It was brilliant cheese.

He lived a long life but it’s still going to be strange not seeing him pop up.

Like so many others I loved X-Men when I was growing up and it’s what got me into comics. I also remember my brother constantly taping Spider-Man cartoons, he taped over everything including family videos!

I think he is responsible for making comic book characters more relatable. Recognising that even though they have all these super powers they still have flaws and struggles, he gave them depth.

If you're going to die - being 95 and Stan Lee is a way to go.

I actually cried.

Father to marvel and generations of imagination

I have a huge soft spot for Stan Lee, his films have brought our family so much joy, and we love 'Stan spotting' in every Marvel movie.

We have two teenage DSs and the films have given us loads to talk about over the years, his work is part of our family's story.
