Heard a snatch of it in a shop today. Driving me crazy.

Is from within the last ten years I think. Possibly used in a Christmas advert or film at some point.

Solo male voice, piano. Goes "I-I-I will, I will" something something. Quite swooping sounding.

Hopeful bump. I know my description is massively vague but I've seen impressive answers provided on similar threads!

It came to me in a flash that it was from About A Boy. So it's Badly Drawn Boy. Google tracked the song title down to Donna & Blitzen. Both Christmas and film related.

Not that anyone else is losing sleep over it but I thought it polite to close the thread!
