Black Friday??

I've never really done black Friday before so was wondering if anyone has any light to shed on whether there are actually any good deals to be had and how/where?

I can't imagine if very much enjoy all the pushing and shoving so would probably rather do it online, in which case would it be best to look for cyber Monday deals? Would be nice to get some good discounts on Christmas presents so would appreciate any tips!

Amazon. I look at the lightening deals but only buy things I am actually looking for, I usually get some good presents.

I tend to glance at topic-specific "black friday deals in X" websites - don't get drawn into the EVERYTHING IS ON SALE AAAAAAAAAAAH mentality as you'll just waste all your money on frippery.

I'm after a fairly specific spec of TV this year, so I'll be watching a couple of "best TVs" lists on tech websites.

Thanks for the tips! I'll give Amazon a try and hopefully I won't get sucked in

I want a few things for Christmas presents so I have started a wish list that I’ll check on Black Friday and hope to get that much cheaper. I also want an electric flosser Grin

I have a policy of not buying anything at all on Black Friday. Can't be doing with all that marketing and buying of yet more stuff.

I won't even be buying a cup of tea or a newspaper. Bah humbug to the whole consumerist trend.

Pinkyyy · 12/11/2018 19:58

I wasn't aware that they did black Friday deals on tea and newspapers?

Ha ha, no they probably don't!

You should be safe then!

Does ikea ever do Black Friday?

I like Amazon for Black Friday - partly because it's spread out, and also because you can see what offers are coming up, so you can think about it and do some research rather than panic buying because you don't want to miss an offer

I need to buy some wireless Beats headphones for a Christmas present, are these likely to be on Amazon black Friday?

Maybe - they used to be in sales, but perhaps not now they're an Apple brand. Worth checking though.
