Decided to have a new tree.
Real one in dining room (cooler).
Looking for a 5ft prelit for lounge.
Anyone any recommendations?
Or are they not a good idea?
Have seen some at White stores which look nice online but alwaysa bit wary.

I have a prelit one from Ikea, I usually do the same as you and have a real one in one room and then the pre lit one, but last year I just did the fake one and I think I will do that from now on, it is very realistic looking and is in 3parts so put it up in about 3seconds.

We have one from Balsam Hill, have had it for about 4 years since the £50 one from the christmas tree farm was still very much alive when it came to throwing it out, I felt so bad! The tree looks very realistic, prelit lights make decorating a dream, the investment was really worth it. We’re quite big on christmas though...

Vote number 3 for balsam hill

I bought mine from M&S and it’s so convenient - just pop the three pieces together, hook the lights up and you’re good to go!

I’m very happy with it, and I expect I’ll keep it for years.

Own a rather exuberant mainecoon so a bit wary re the cost of a Balsam Hill.

Have to agree they look stunning .

Mind you the one I am chucking out was a JL and I think cost £250 approx. 15 years ago- and hasn't aged very well.

Balsam Hill here too. Think we paid £280 for a 5 foot tree- they are always having sales.
It survived the cats last year so fingers crossed!

Thanks all
Balsam hill ordered!

Oh, thank you for this, been looking for a nice 4ft age-old tree and no-one seems to do them, looks like this might be the answer.

Proseccoagain · 11/11/2018 20:58

Age-old, where did that come from?

Proseccoagain · 11/11/2018 22:47

Have just ordered a pre-lit from Balsam Hill, wanted a 4ft tree, and hadn't found one any where else.

secretfreckle · 11/11/2018 23:16

Just bought a 6 ft prelit tree from Tesco today for £35 for my mum! She's in her 70s and cba with the faff of putting the lights on.
After we bought it, she said, 'I could put some of my lights on it as well's.
Hmm

secretfreckle · 11/11/2018 23:18

That should read as well

Floralnomad · 11/11/2018 23:22

We’ve also got a Balsam Hill prelit , it’s beautiful .

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 12/11/2018 13:59

If anyone doesn’t have balsam Hill budget and is looking at JL I would go to M&S and find the equivalent as they typically charge £20 less for the same or very similar (I know it’s not a lot but every little helps!).

freckle that’s so funny! Xmas Grin
