We have a 5 year old and a baby, I’ve struggled a bit dividing my time between the kids, I used to spend so much time with older child as I didn’t work normal hours which meant I spent most days with her.
Anyway baby has come along and obviously I have to give time to baby too and the sleep thing is difficult as baby sleeps on me or pram and won’t settle in cot yet for naps.
Anyway, to the point now, whenever I ask dp to be quiet In an attempt to put baby to sleep in cot, him and DD decide to be really really loud playing boisterous games and screaming etc. Walls are so thin here and I know that no noise is not good but screaming and shouting and laughing etc ? Anyway, when I ask he says to DD oh let’s be quiet or mummy will get angry, now the only thing that makes me angry is when he says stuff like that to DD. I’m not an angry person so I don’t shout or lose my temper ever, he says he’s joking but dd has said a few times since he’s been saying ‘are you angry with me’
Anyway I asked him not to do that and he said he wouldn’t but today he did it again. I feel like he isn’t respecting my wishes and I do my utmost to respect what he wants.
