My mum decided to change her bedroom door latch to a rollerball, but she didn’t change the other side! Now the door won’t open. Any ideas how to sort it? Reluctant to take the whole handle off in case that makes it worse!

Can she slide a credit card in-between the door and the frame where the ball is?

Do you know how much the rollerball was sticking out before the door was shut? If it's not a lot it may be possible to pull the door open again. Rollerballs are usually on a spring and you can adjust them in and out, you could try just pulling (or pushing?) the door open and if the rollerball breaks then you just replace it again - once the rollerball catch holder has also been replaced as well this time!
