I've ordered an Ultrasonic Mist Dehumidifier and I'd like some recommendations for blended aromatherapy oils. I want my house to smell like a beautiful spa Smile

Citronella

Rose, geranium and lavender blend

Citrus blends like orange and grapefruit are nice.

I also like frankincense

Do you have a Neals Yard near you? You can try out their oils and see what you like (and buy elsewhere if you want it cheaper!)

hawleybits · 11/11/2018 14:03

Yes, we do have a Neal's Yard locally. I didn't really think about popping in there, I thought their signature fragrance was 'medical'

I just bought some geranium oil from Holland and Barrett. I usually use amphora aromatics but this smells just the same. And it's buy one get one for a penny at mo.

You need to pick the oil to match how you want to feel. Uplifting oils are top notes such as any citrus. My personal fav is lemon or lime or bergamot.
If you want to chill and unwind go for sandalwood or frankincense. Geranium is somewhere in the middle.

hawleybits · 11/11/2018 14:43

I've heard that geranium and clary sage is lovely.

Yes that sounds nice. It really is a trial and error. I did an aromatherapy course and they taught us that every oil is different for each person.
It's about experimenting..have a look at amphora aromatics website. I bought all my oils for college from there and they also have pre blends Tec.

Sorry meant etc.

hawleybits · 11/11/2018 15:36

Thank you all. Recently in Morocco, I went into a spa and I have never smelt anything so divine - sort of mildly medicinal, mixed with a very expensive fragrance...I wish I'd had the presence of mind to ask what it was.
