Call the centre where you had the abortion OP,

With all due respect an Internet forum of strangers don’t know your medical background, and other details of the abortion...

You may be brewing an infection, which if enough of us said “those after symptoms are normal” could go untreated and cause you serious harm.. please, call a professional for advice, it’s what aftercare is there for

If you can’t get hold of the clinic on a Sunday try 111 for a OOH Dr appointment
Probably quicker than A and E who’d probably have you wait for a gynaecologist
Hope you’re ok - no judgement here 💐

Just to add op, no judgement here, just a very direct post as concerned for your health,

Please let us know how you get on Flowers

Did they give you a leaflet with numbers to call?

Take your temperature so you know how high it is and ring up.

If you're at all worried then go get checked out, either at the clinic or at the out of hours GP.

Bbub · 11/11/2018 10:06

Ive had the same op procedure and I seem to remember the advice about the bleeding referring to the possibility of a hemmorage (sp?), is in if it was still heavy and bright red so please get checked out ASAP. You sound unwell, definitely important to be seen, and you dont have to tell anyone you had an abortion you can say you've had a miscarriage (thats what i was advised).

cheesefield · 11/11/2018 10:29

I would definitely call 111 if still bright red bleeding after 3 days.

Pinky11 · 12/11/2018 09:56

Ive read through the leaflets and it says if i bleed through a pad in an hour twice or something then i need to be seen but i can probably keep a pad on for hours i mean i have had 1 on all night last night and not bled through but its still bright red the pains have gone now

How much bleeding there is likely to be depends hugely on how advanced things were when the abortion happened. We can't advise you - please contact the clinic.
