What is? I’m not clicking the link.

So many men angry at women.
Shameful.

TheCrowFromBelow · 11/11/2018 08:01

It links to video of Pakistani protests at Asia Bibi’s release
It shows thousands of men calling for one woman to be beheaded because of hearsay of blasphemy
There is no justification for this and I am shamed that we (GB) have not offered her asylum
The world is going backwards

I’ve been following this on the news...... she was arrested and put in solitary for 8 years for drinking from the same cup as a Muslim. She is Christian. Apparently it’s blasphemy. Now, because she’s been released the strict Muslims want her be headed. Absolutely disgusting

I've generally become hardened to the world, but this actually shocked me.

Also, I saw this on Twitter, not on regular news. Has it been covered in mainstream news?

She wasn't jailed for drinking from the same cup fgs it's been on the BBC News website enough recently that you could at least get it right. Her Muslim neighbours and co-workers said the water they shared was unclean as she had drunk from it and she isn't a Muslim. There was a row and she apparently said things which to them were blasphemous. She was then questioned in front of a baying mob and admitted blasphemy and was jailed. The higher courts have heard her appeal and said she didn't get a fair trial and there's no evidence she committed the offence. Basically she admitted it in order to save her life.

I also think her family have listed a number of countries they have asked to give them asylum and I'm not sure the UK is one of them.

Just shameful that these people would protest something like blasphemy, which doesn't directly impact their life but will ignore other injustices - like rape, child abuse, child labour, domestic violence etc etc.
