Is anyone awake?

Am feeling thoroughly miserable. I’ve been throwing up for the last four hours for no apparent reason. Can’t keep anything down, even water and lemodade, and I’m incredibly thirsty. Added to which it’s started whilst I was babysitting for friends, so had the embarrassment of asking for bleach when they got back. I then had to get home, which made things worse again.

And it's continued ever since. I've tried sleeping, but each time I've nodded off I’ve woken with a mouthful of sick. I’m really not enjoying this.

I'm here op for a hand hold and some company. Sorry you're feeling so rough. Do you think it's a bug?

Seniorschoolmum · 11/11/2018 03:26

Poor you. I had that earlier in the week. 3am, I woke up, had to crawl off and be sick. Spent three hours back & forth but for no reason I could see.
Then it went away, no cold or headache, it just stopped. Hopefully you are finished and asleep by now. Flowers

Thanks! Fever. I’m hoping it’s not a bug as I’ll feel awful I feel the kids I was looking after catch it. I was thinking food poisoning, but the last thing I ate was cauliflower cheese which makes it seem a tad unlikely.

I can’t honestly remember ever being quite as bad as this. When I got home I lay down on the drive feeling like a drunk, but I’ve had no alcohol. Usually if im sick I’ll throw up once, maybe twice, and that’s it. I’ve given up counting.

I’m awake as my dd (7) has the same symptoms as you, every time I nod off she wakes up to be sick so I’ve given up.
Hopefully it’s just a bug and you are feeling better soon

TombIhadaGraveChange · 11/11/2018 03:31

SOrry to hear you were the same, senior. I’ve given up trying to clean up the mess and am just throwing towels down. Dp will be confused when he sees them. He was drunk when I got back so will have no memory.

Hope you feel better. Throwing up is the worst :( I’m awake because I fell asleep with my youngest at 730! Woke up at 1230 and now can’t get back to sleep!

Russell19 · 11/11/2018 03:35

When your husband wakes up, pretend it was him being sick 😂 then he might clean it up.

Only joking!

Zoflorabore · 11/11/2018 03:59

Hi op, how awful, hope you're able to rest and sleep at some point.

I'm up as I need to get ds (15) up for a long coach journey to Chelsea today to watch his beloved Everton ( we are in Liverpool ) so couldn't sleep knowing I have to get him
up at 4.30. Am just "pottering" about and doing laundry.

Nothing worse than being sick and of course everything feels worse in the middle of the night Flowers

I’m awake as my 3 year old and I have what sounds like the same bug Sad. Also 33 weeks pregnant so feeling thoroughly miserable!

Penisbeakerismyfavethread · 11/11/2018 04:08

Op that sounds awful.
I hope everyone is feeling chirpier or got some rest Flowers

FaithInfinity · 11/11/2018 07:31

We had a bug 2 weeks ago, it sounds similar. Mind you, only our immediate family had it. We’d been with my sister and family when DH and I were incubating the bug and they were okay.
Do you have any ice lollies? Sometimes when you can’t stoamch liquids, you can keep ice lollies down. That’ll help you get rehydrated and then you should manage fluids a bit after that.
