That is it really. She is a strong and beautiful woman. She has been unwell for sometime. Family were called this morning. She has had a syringe drive, just waiting now. She will be at peace soon

Flowers Muttley. I'm glad you're with her, and she's surrounded by love.

I’m sorry, but glad she sounds out of pain.,do you want to talk about her life?

MuttleyDoSomethingToMe · 11/11/2018 01:01

Thank you. She has 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grand children. My grandfather is still alive too. I have always been very close to her and have cared for her as much as possible in the years she has been ill. I am going to miss her so much but i want her to be at peace

Bless her. I hope she is peaceful. I treasure the memory of being in the room with my Gran the night before she passed. My family went out for tea and I stayed, and I just talked to her and held her hand with those familiar rings...precious time.
Much love.

Hi, i'm.still just about awake.

Sending warm thoughts and huge strength to you and your grandmother. How wonderful that she's in such a caring place and with her loving family around her. I hope she has a peaceful journey with you all there for her.

I stayed with my DSis last year at the hospice in her final days. I couldnt bear to leave her side except for 2 hourly sleep shifts at night in a chair shared with my parents (& rest of family who joined us during the day). We were very grateful and glad to be there with her.

There's a point near the end when your loved one has closed her eyes and stops responding & breathing just starts to go slowly. Her hospice nurses will say if they know it might just be hours or a bit longer and ensure she has a comfortable and peaceful passing .

I told my sister gently and calmly that we were all there for her and with her, we loved her so much, had loved sharing her life with her,. and she could go when she wanted to. We had 7 of us holding hands around her saying prayers (she was religious) and talking occasionally but gently to her... My Dsis took her last breaths when we were there with her like that. Some people's spirits wait until they are alone to go because that's what they need... either way they know you are near or have been there.

The hospice staff will take care of and support you through everything even the afterwards. You get so much time and love.
and care.

It's eary in the night but a quiet calm peaceful otherworldly kind of experience. I wish you strength, but you can do it because it's a privilege to be there with her

Try to sleep if you can, at least a little.

My goodness your darling Grandmother has a lot of her she's passed down .. 4 children 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren who all love her. What a wonderful mark she has made in this world and that's not even including all the fabulous memories, adventures she's had and life lessons she's taught you all and all the friendships she has had and people she's made who they are. I'm sorry OP. I've been in the same situation as you with my own grandmother. She will know you're there and just how much she is loved. Sending lots of love to you and your family.
