Who are these two singing Born to Fly? I love their voices.

It’s the lovely boys from mcfly doing a stunning job

EscapeToTheMoon · 10/11/2018 20:49

Lovely song! They’re McFly.

AlexanderHamilton · 10/11/2018 20:50

Really? Id Never have thought it. They sound like trained MT singers.

Wigeon · 10/11/2018 20:50

Former McFly members Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones.

ScreamingValenta · 10/11/2018 20:51

The Michael Morpurgo reading was very moving.

AlexanderHamilton · 10/11/2018 20:51

He’s giving his sister Carrie a run for her money!

Im glad they are bringing young artists in. My family has deep military history snd ive been fortunate to go to this service twice. But by jeez, it was boring as a youngster being there. It was geared back then to WW1 & WW2 servicemen and women. Now its changed to commemorate younger ones too and its so important. Tonight my 10 yr old is enjoying it.

Wigeon · 10/11/2018 20:52

My DH’s choir are sitting behind the orchestra and were doing the background singing earlier! He’s here doing the ironing though...

AlexanderHamilton · 10/11/2018 20:58

Fantastic wigeon

AlexanderHamilton · 10/11/2018 21:18

Tom F wrote the song? Wow! I thought he and Danny were absolutely wonderful.

TwitterQueen1 · 10/11/2018 21:33

How does Tom Jones still sound so fantastic at his age?

TwitterQueen1 · 10/11/2018 21:34

That's not meant to be patronising btw. It's just that other stars are obviously losing their voices - Macca for one.

Vegisgrowingwell · 10/11/2018 21:59

I'm loving watching it. It gives me lovely memories of when I used to watch with my grandad. My eyes have been leaking a bit too, it's so emotional

AlexanderHamilton · 10/11/2018 22:01

Dd went to Auschwitz this week. What is poignant for me is the thought that despite everyone saying we will remember far too many people have forgotten and hatred & bigotry is reading its ugly head again.

Amazing Remembrance Service / Festival My eyes are leaking too - can't remember cutting any onions this evening.

QueenDoria · 10/11/2018 22:04

Also - how well stage managed is this? Loved the (same sized) photos... God Bless the BBC...

QueenDoria · 10/11/2018 22:05

Kingdom Choir! Sheku! Meghan must think it’s her wedding anniversary!

Evangelinedream · 10/11/2018 22:13

Does anybody know why Meghan didn’t wear a poppy? I thought it was a bit odd her being the only one?

QueenDoria · 10/11/2018 22:24

I think she is. A small pin type one...

ScreamingValenta · 10/11/2018 22:27

Yes, she was wearing an enamel poppy.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 10/11/2018 22:35

It was on her dress. She also wore a poppy on her coat earlier in the week.

Evangelinedream · 10/11/2018 22:50

Woops, must have missed it! Blush
