Does anyone have a really lovely, fully decorated house?

And if so, how have you managed it?
I just feel like mine is never quite right. This is the closest we’ve ever been to decorating the whole thing as we like but even so, I don’t feel it’s amazing. Then we live in it so constantly messing it up although we are pretty tidy.
If you want to add pics please do, I love to see gorgeous decor!

Joining you Sure This is what I aspire to. A lovely, well thought out interior that reflects my taste. I have a load of ideas that I'm excited about but also problem areas that I just can't seem to get right. Why don't you put some pics up of your difficult bits and we can give you some ideas?

SureIusedtobetaller · 10/11/2018 18:35

It’s not so much the tricky bits I think. It’s time to get it done so bits get left not quite finished. Sometimes for years...

My friend lives in such a house. it's been in a magazine but it's a constantly evolving thing. Tastes change, trends change and you will always need to add bits/update to keep up. I don't think you can ever just decorate and be happy for ever after.

We have a classically decorated Georgian house. It’s lovely in my opinion, but not exactly the height of fashion Grin

costacoffeecup · 10/11/2018 18:48

My mum does.

I don't think I ever will!

TulipsInBloom1 · 10/11/2018 18:50

For about three weeks before we sold it Grin. Now we own a beige box, and it feels like it will take a lifetime to be "done"

I aspire to the sort of interior that'd make an estate agent break out in a cold sweat. Yellow bathroom anyone? Grin I want an Anthropologie house...

I’d like a timeless but slightly quirky look. It’s all fine. Just as fast as we do it it gets messed up Grin even though we don’t have any young children.
I’d just like to live in a nice, cleanly decorated throughout house just once before I die ha ha.

I feel like you only get this if you buy a house that has to be completely overhauled before it's liveable in. A friend has it and it's beautiful. I am so jealous.
