Knitting - changing the pattern to suit.

I am currently knitting a jumper but do not want the hassle of doing the neck of a raglan neck edge with all 4 pieces weighing down so I've decided to do set in sleeves instead. Does anyone else take a cut and paste attitude to patterns?

Absolutely! I'm a crocheter, not a knitter (begone with your strange pointy sticks!) but I always do this.
