Vitamin D for SAD

I've read a few posts on here recommending vitamin D for the winter months and little sunlight.
I bought some and am on day 5. But I can't sleep properly. I'm still wide awake at night. I tried having just half a tablet and take them at 6am.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I've never had that with Vit D. I take it in the morning, use a lamp for an hour or so, get plenty of exercise, and I'm sleeping fine.

I've never heard of vitamin d causing insomnia. It's likely to be something else causing it.

I use a high dose every day, morning, and not affected my sleep.

Maybe try a different brand? I use BetterYou spray.

Thanks. Yes I think I will try a spray and see if it makes a difference.
Can you get the spray in shops or just online?

Vitamin D stimulates the production of melatonin (sleepy hormone ) at night so I would say your insomnia is caused by something else. It takes a few weeks for actual levels to rise after taking tablets so you might need to wait to see a difference
