Need some for a remembrance service tomorrow and in my local town centre there isn’t anyone selling them. Are any shops?

Literally every supermarket I’ve been to this week has them.

Failing that, see where your local British legion is and get one from there :)

Sirzy · 10/11/2018 16:26

Every supermarket I have been to in the past few weeks have them

Corner shops probably will to

AdoraBell · 10/11/2018 16:26

I got one in Specsavers.

EnidButton · 10/11/2018 16:27

Our local Morrison's has a large stand full of them with a donation box in the middle. They were by the entrance doors near the cigarette counter. You could try any chain supermarket if you don't have a Morrison's near you.

Also they might be selling them at the remembrance service as you go in.

I have tried Tesco Morrison’s Tk Maxx Boots Waitrose Waterstones Specasavers Wilko and everything else in between - nothing. I hope I can get one at the service.

Thanks for the suggestions though, I guess they just take them away by Saturday afternoon

Filling station ?

Corneliusmurphy · 10/11/2018 16:57

Surprised at Tesco, they’ve been on every till and had stalls at the entrance all week. The scouts and brownies have been helping today too.
Our shopping centre also had the stall(for the last two weeks), the first shop near me that had one, though was the post office/newsagents - may be worth a look tomorrow morning.

WhirlwindHugs · 10/11/2018 16:58

Library? I would literally just walk down the street trying every shop.

MartaHallard · 10/11/2018 16:59

Most of the convenience stores round here have been selling them. (I would say corner shops, but they're not actually on corners.) The Air Cadets were out selling them in the High Street too, but too late now, I expect.

Every supermarket, several street sellers, several independent places (shops, vets, garden centre etc.) Literally everywhere here. You'll have more luck asking on your local Facebook group or similar.

AW1992 · 10/11/2018 17:04

My small Sainsbury's Local has 2 collecting tins and poppies.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/11/2018 17:07

Could you post on a Facebook local site asking if anyone knows where they are for sale? Or if any friends have spares?

ShellieEllie · 10/11/2018 17:07

What town are you in, that might help narrow down where you will find them. Sainsbury's have a corporate partnership with the Legion so if you have one of them try there.

AW1992 · 10/11/2018 17:11

I got mine this afternoon. So they should still be around.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 10/11/2018 17:13

I got one in my local pub.

Watch12345 · 10/11/2018 17:57

I got one! Our local health centre still had them. Yay!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/11/2018 17:58

Brilliant. Glad you got one.
