Nice Manchester hotels

Right, friend has just surprised our group with a lovely present (we’re 90s kids and she’s got us SpiceGirls tockets).

I’ve said, my present will be sorting the accommodation. There’s 5 of us, 4 ladies and one gent, although we’re all super close as we’ve known each other since school.

Any recommendations for nice hotels, something different to a Premier Inn or Travelodge, that I can keep as a surprise?

I stayed in the Mercure at Piccadilly Gardens in the summer, it was lovely with a great view.

Alternatively I really liked the ibis styles hotel I stayed in recently - a budget hotel but I liked the decor and it was all very modern facilities wise although not sure if there is one in Manchester.

The Raddisson Blu Edwardian is lovely and the Hilton in Beetham Tower is great as it’s got a great skyline bar and a pool which over hangs the street!

Book now as prices will sky rocket with the concert.

I’m assuming it’ll be a stadium show, either the cricket ground or the Etihad? If so, Hotel Football is really good, it’s close to the cricket ground or near the tram if you have to get to the Etihad.
It actually beat the likes of The Lowry and The Hilton to be named the Leading Hotel in Manchester at an awards ceremony recently.

Malmaison super chic, handy for everything and not bad rates

Also stayed at Radisson Blu Edwardian. Lovely and very central.

The Spice Girls used to stay at The Midland, many years ago.

The big hotels will push the prices up for this, but some of the fixed price apart hotels are just as good really.

The most quirky and stylish hotels are Gotham, Velvet and the two Townhouses in my opinion.

Have a fantastic time

There's a new boutique one in the Northern Quarter called Cow Hollow which is nice

Gotham is my favourite or Malmaison. Didn't think the Lowry was worth the money.

Ah you’re all brilliant, I know Manchester fairly well but had forgotten some of those.
