Is there a secret to buying tickets? (Of the kind that sell out in minutes)

Has anyone got any tips? I always miss out and wondered if there was something I should be doing differently.

I always get a pre-sale code if I can which means I’ll have tickets before they go on general sale.

If not, I use my laptop and open a tab with any ticket-sale site account that I have (one tab for each site!) and load up the page before the tickets go on sale so the countdown is on the screen. I refresh the pages seconds before the tickets are due to go on sale and whichever one lets me in first is the one I’ll go with. I also load up the tabs on my phone in case the internet failed me somehow.

A guy I work with swears by the Ticketmaster app. He's never failed on there.

For ticketmaster it is worth registering first and making sure you are logged in before you click to buy the tickets
