Board games for 2

Can anyone suggest any board games suitable for two people?

We are going away for a week and plan to just lock ourselves away from the world.

So many board games only suitable for 3+ people

Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Thunderbirds, Carcassonne, Takenoko, Dinosaur Island, Fluxx, Chrononauts, Bananagrams, Labyrinth, Mapominoes,

7 Wonders Duel. Designed for two people.
Fluxx games, Carcassonne.
DC Rivals, a 1 vs 1 deck builder.
Star Realms.

Ticket to Ride can be played with two, but works best at 3 plus.

Rummikub, Trionimos, Sequence.
Enjoy!

Can't believe Scrabble hasn't been suggested yet

ChocolateTearDrops · 10/11/2018 08:13

My OH won't play me at Scrabble. He sort of gets this look Hmm and then the board gets nudged somehow.

ChocolateTearDrops · 10/11/2018 08:16

It was the time he tried to cheat by palming the Z. I laid my last tiles and crept ahead, he then triumphantly waved his last 2 tiles and crowed "yes but you didn't get the Z"

I then pointed out his final tiles needed to be added to my score.

Chess. Draughts. Backgammon.

We play chess a lot but it's getting a bit boring. And we have cards.

Has anyone heard of othello?

Othello is a favourite in the Callisto house! Along with Carcassone, Ticket to Ride, and Risk. All played two player here Smile
