I was up at 5 am with my 11month old. He woke up and was crawling about giggling. I gave up trying to get him back to sleep before he woke his brother.
So we’re downstairs eating baguette and selectionof cheeses while watching Jamie Oliver.
Ooh and googling ‘can babies eat Stilton and goat cheese,’ because he’s a big fan but it only just occurred to me to check it’s okay.

DD is at her dad's so I should be having a long lie in but my body clock is so used to a 6am start, here I am Confused

Mel0Dram4 · 10/11/2018 06:22

Sorry got distracted, baby has moved on from stinky cheese to breastfeed... now lying on me asleep while I’m wide awake now, typical huh!
Lots of us up early, lots more early rising babies. Thinking of all of you with worries on your mind, housemoving and families etc Flowers

Toddler loves a 5am wake up. Usually means a quick cry followed by a snooze on repeat until 6, but for some reason the first cry woke me with such a start that I've been wide awake ever since. Already put some washing on, fed cats and toddler. Now in the bath with toddler opening every cupboard and throwing bottles at me. Husband fast asleep throughout.

Because I'm awake. And also I'm off to work in a bit.

DeadCertain · 10/11/2018 06:24

Normally up for work at 0300, today is my day off so I had a lie in until 0600!

bella1426 · 10/11/2018 06:24

Snap @greenmeercat! Also feeding DS who will be three weeks on Monday

MistressFunbox · 10/11/2018 06:25

I'm in New York and a bit accidentally pissed. Just getting a cab back to hotel.

Pyjamaface · 10/11/2018 06:25

I'm at work, full of cold and trying to stay awake. Only 10 and a half hours to go!

anniehm · 10/11/2018 06:26

Normal insomnia, my teenage daughter won't be up for hours and will have to wake the dh and the ddog up for parkrun - I have the laziness ddog in history. Caught up on overnight news and now considering breakfast....

DeathMetalMum · 10/11/2018 06:27

I woke up about 5.45 no idea why I was just wide awake. Annoying as two weeks ago during half term I was the same wide awake by six. Then last week when we all went back to school and work, I could hardly drag myself out of bed for my alarm at 6.45.

Birdie6 · 10/11/2018 06:27

Live in " The Land Down Under" , it's late afternoon here.

marcopront · 10/11/2018 06:35

In a different time zone.
I've just put my daughter on a bus for a climb on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.

EsmeeMerlin · 10/11/2018 06:36

We have a 5 year old and 8 month old who have always been early risers although did wake at 6 rather than the 5 they usually do. The night before the baby woke constantly in the night so dh and I went to bed last night at half 8 and baby did not wake once last night so we are feeling quite refreshed today!

dontknowwhattodo80 · 10/11/2018 06:43

I've had a virus for 3 weeks that just isn't going Sad. So I'm awake on and off all night coughing or trying to make myself more comfortable Angry

I'm someone who really needs sleep so I'm sure the fact I'm getting so little is probably part of the reason I'm not getting better!

vampirethriller · 10/11/2018 06:45

Baby 6 days overdue and I'm full of cold. Just woke up from dreaming that I was going to have an affair with Guy Fieri and can't get back to sleep.

namechangefriday · 10/11/2018 06:55

Awake since 3. Combination of steroids and breaking up with ‘d’p earlier this week. 4 years gone in a nasty row and 2 of those years have been us trying to negotiate an incurable cancer diagnosis.
Letting him go is absolutely what he deserves. Try telling my broken heart that though ☹️
To all those up with babies .. enjoy every second , mine are all bed dwellers now who I won’t see before midday!

LilithTheKitty · 10/11/2018 07:04

Bloody rugby. I used to have a lie in one weekend day and DH had the other. Now, as the only driver, I spend Saturday and Sunday mornings taking my youngest two to rugby matches since they decided rugby was the best thing ever.

mossyroundhill · 10/11/2018 07:17

I was up at 5:30 because DS did a poo, decided to take him downstairs after I changed him as he is very shouty when he wakes up and it's DPs lie in this morning. Watched Peep Show until 7 when DD got up, now we're watching Postman Pat.

Jaxtellerswife · 10/11/2018 07:18

Poorly elderly dog. 400 spent yesterday out of the Christmas fund to be told they aren't really sure what's wrongConfused

kaytee87 · 10/11/2018 07:27

Just having breakfast. At 8.45 we'll leave to take 2yo ds and 3yo nephew swimming and to softplay so that will take up the whole morning. Then we're dropping nephew at my mums, giving ds his lunch and he'll go down for a 2 hour nap.
While he's napping we're planning to gloss the porch. Once we're done I think I'll have a nice bath/shower and wash my hair.
No idea what we're doing this afternoon/evening yet.

Livingthedream12345 · 10/11/2018 07:28

I was woken by one of the dogs coming to say good morning and see if she could sneak onto the bed. 5.45am. I really could have done with a lie in while DD is at XH's, it's been a looooong week.

TwiceMagic · 10/11/2018 07:29

I’m just about to get up and take my DS to swim training. I’m not sure I’m very keen on it creeping earlier in the morning.

FrangipaniBlue · 10/11/2018 08:13

Because I get up at 4.45 Monday to Friday for work so my body has decided that by 6.45 on a Saturday and Sunday 2hrs lie in is plenty long enough Confused

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 10/11/2018 08:18

Because it seems the ability to lie in has been battered out of me after 21 years of parenthood Grin
And the darling cherubs (that still live at home) are all fast asleepAngry
