Family board game recommendations?

Our children are aged between 6 and 12 (so it can be a bit tricky finding something the youngest can enjoy too). We love a family board game.

We have all the classics and love Monopoly, Scrabble, Cluedo, Uno etc.

A newer one that has been a huge hit is Whoonu which is by Cranium and is a brilliant game for multi-age family groups (basically you have 4 cards in your hand, each with a random thing on it eg ice skating / the colour pink / quiche etc, and you have to decide which thing the nominated person likes best; everyone puts their guess in the envelope and the nominated person then ranks the things in the order they like them and points are awarded).

So, with Christmas approaching, can anyone recommend a favourite we may not have tried?

Tsuro - very easy and quick and great fun I love this one
Ingenious - ditto
I like labyrinth too
Ticket to ride - but harder but fun

Don't say it.
Lots of fun for everyone.
We recently took it with us camping & the adult twins in the family who had never played it used there spooky twin intuition & smashed everyone else's score.

Agree with Labyrinth

allthingsred · 10/11/2018 06:41

Oh may not be what your looking for as it's not really a board game.

Beat the parents - my three love this
5 second rule
I've just bought junior Pictionary for this year
On a side note they absolutely love playing family card games and tiddlywinks (not board games I know but it is hard to find games that suit all ages) mine are similar ages to yours op

Pictureka is an old favourite , going to get 5 second rule this year.
